Agios Ioannis Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from our own groves in the mountains of South-East Crete. We became olive oil producers in 1995 when we bought land with a neglected olive grove on it.

Local farmers helped us to prune, water and nurture these trees which had not been harvested for many years. The resulting oil from the first harvest was superb. We became hooked.

Initially we shipped a few barrels for friends and family in the UK who filled their empty wine bottles. Then we bought more and more neglected trees and increased our production, bottling locally then shipping to England. We held an oil tasting in the spring for each new harvest.Demand simply grew and included some well known chefs and grocers.

Today we have hundreds of beautiful trees within the valley of Agios Ioannis and we ship about 2000 bottles of very young and exceptional olive oil to the UK.

Our aim is to produce high quality very fresh olive oil with a light grassy peppery flavour and sell it within the year of each harvest at a very reasonable price.
